The perfect outfit for a dance night out
The first thing that came to mind when looking at this look is how perfect it would be for a night out dancing.
Dance is a big part of my culture. We danced practically for Everything and for nothing. When we celebrate whatever it is or even when we are cleaning up the house. The pressure to know how to dance is therefore also very big. From 13.14 years old we are expected to know how to dance kizomba, kuduro (afro-house), semba, samba, salsa, meringue and so on. All this without ever going to a dance school.
For most people it is something that happens naturally. Well, I’m not part of the majority lol. The first time I could dance kizomba, a entire song, without stepping on my partner’s foot, I believe I was already around 20 years old. When I went to parties, I remember being there praying to that no one would ask me to dance, without much success of course hahaha. Kuduro then (OMG), I was more like a robot trying to do some of the dance moves (now, I’m pro) lol.
Dressing accordingly for these parties was another dilemma. Usually in these places it’s hard to know when the look is over the top or when it’s too simple. But this look offers the perfect balance. The flowery top combined with the green pants added that little extra needed for those nights, but the simplicity of the pieces made the look not too extravagant.
I hope you enjoyed the look and do not forget to dream and always fight for the realization of Your dreams.
