My name is Cinosanda Sandele, I am from Angola, graduated in economics and I live in the Netherlands. I’m convinced that there are no ugly clothes, but different ways to wear them. This conviction comes from my early childhood.
I was born in a society where people worked for free and in return received what they needed, which means that they didn’t have much of a choice about the clothes they received and wore, but even so, people in that small society had a very keen sense of style. Most people were very stylish and had an enormous creativity to turn the clothes they received into a style of their own. Especially my father. He had a way of singularizing himself extraordinary. What I loved the most was his posture. My dad had an ability to style a uniform which was super creative and in many ways unique. The uniform seemed on him simply exclusive. Although at that time I was only a little girl (a child), but that is where my sense of style comes from. Over the years I came to realize that the style has little to do with trends, but with how we combine all that pieces of clothing together and adapt it to our personality, whether is trendy or not.
The idea of translating all this into a blog starts with my interest in writing. I love writing and being able to put into words my ideas and emotions behind my looks gives me enormous pleasure. The idea of the blog became more a reality when in 2015 I opened my Instagram, I then realized that with the little that I had shared, I inspired a lot of people. I was extremely surprised by the amount of positive feedback I received.
About 11 years ago my interest in consciously leading a healthier life physically and emotionally increased considerably. Since then I have learned a lot about it. Since style and fashion, for me, are directly linked to these subjects, I realized that with a blog, I would give me the opportunity to share everything I have learned and so inspire others in this field as well. This all made the blog idea more compact and gave me a much stronger “why”. Which makes me want to do it more and better every time without losing focus.
